Science Fair projects due January 14

for ALL Spotlight students

January, 14: Science Fair project  set up 3-6 p.m.

January 15: Science Fair judging 9 a.m.

January 15: awards ceremony 6 p.m.

Projects are due January 14. All Spotlight students are required to participate. Science Fair project packets went home in September, and science fair topics are due October 19. School winners advance to regionals, and last year OES had 17 winners at Regional Science Fair in March!




Pawns & Pajamas Chess Tournament

is Friday night, January 25

All K-12 chess players from any school are welcome. This is a great first tournament for beginners! Wear your pajamas and sip on hot chocolate. See my printable forms page for a registration form.

Big Trip - McDowell Environmental Center April 8-10

This trip is going to be absolutely amazing! McDowell is a 1,200 acre outdoor classroom in Nauvoo, Alabama. A copy of the form and letter that went home in August can be found on my "printable forms" page. This letter includes the payment schedule. Email for more information.



Space Camp 2017-18

  * If you are waiting on results of Spotlight testing, I will contact you as soon as I receive those results from the county office. This is a lengthy process that could take several months to complete.
