Welcome to OES Spotlight!
Education: I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Memphis and a master's degree in education from Ole Miss. I also have specialty certifications in gifted education, journalism, secondary English, and library media specialist.
Experience: This is my 26th year of teaching! I was Overpark's 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year. I have the best job with the best students in the world!
Personal: I have been married for 27 years, and my wonderful husband and I have two incredible children, 22-year-old Zoe and 17-year-old Mia.
Spotlight Supply List
1 plastic folder with pockets and brads (Label front with 1st and last name. No binders please)
notebook paper - place in pockets and some in brads
1 standard size pencil/art box. Please label with 1st and last name and fill with the following:
Scissors
Pencils
2 Glue sticks
Thin markers, colored pencils, OR crayons (your child can choose their favorite)
Small pencil sharpener
black Sharpie
Classroom Wish List - optional items for classroom use:

Paper towels
