Welcome to fifth grade!!! My website is updated periodically through Remind and Twitter. Students' weekly reports will be sent home each Tuesday as another way to keep you informed. Please sign the weekly report and return to school by Friday of each week.
Education:
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. I have also received my National Board Certification.
Experience:
This is my 15th year with Overpark Elementary. Before coming to Overpark, I taught fifth grade at Southaven Elementary and sixth grade in Little Rock, AR.
Bio:
This is my 15th year teaching here at Overpark. Before coming to Overpark, I taught 5th grade at Southaven Elementary for nine years and 6th grade for two years in Little Rock, Arkansas. I received my teaching degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and in 2007, I received my National Board Certification. My husband and I live in Olive Branch. Our son, BJ, and his wife Jessica also live in Olive Branch with our 6 year old granddaughter, Aria, our 5 year old grandson, Nick, and our 1 year old grandson, Jonah. Our daughter, Brittany, and her husband Matthew, live in Nashville, Tennessee. Our youngest son, Tyler, also lives in Olive Branch.

Students may bring a daily snack if they would like.
Students may have a water bottle in the classroom unless it becomes a distraction or issue. This will be left to my discretion. Water must be in a clear container and the water must be regular, clear water (not flavored).
Our lunch is 11:30- 12:00. Student lunch cost is $2.75.
